Samsung pays Apple $1 Billion sending 30 trucks full of 5 cent coins.

Image
This morning more than 30 trucks filled with 5-cent coins arrived at Apple’s headquarters in California. Initially, the security company that protects the facility said the trucks were in the wrong place, but minutes later, Tim Cook (Apple CEO) received a call from Samsung CEO explaining that they will pay $1 billion dollars for the fine recently ruled against the South Korean company in this way. ] The funny part is that the signed document does not specify a single payment method, so Samsung is entitled to send the creators of the iPhone their billion dollars in the way they deem best. This dirty but genius geek troll play is a new headache to Apple executives as they will need to put in long hours counting all that money, to check if it is all there and to try to deposit it crossing fingers to hope a bank will accept all the coins. Lee Kun-hee, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, told the media that his company is not going to be intimidated by a group of “geeks with st

Brazil late show denies Nigeria in the ongoing U20 Female world Cup.

Image
For the second time in as many matches a late equaliser from Brazil has rescued a point for the South Americans at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, with Giovanna Oliveira’s header denying Nigeria early passage to the knockout stage.  A superbly hit drive from Francisca Ordega a minute from half-time appeared enough for Nigeria to claim all three points in a hard-fought and at-times physical encounter in Saitama.  However, Oliveira secured another important point for Brazil with a glancing header three minutes from the end, after an injury-time equaliser earned A Selecao a draw in their opener against Italy. Despite a good pace to the contest in the sapping heat, there were few chances on goal until the later stages of the first half when both teams made some inroads, with Nigeria eventually profiting from Odega's intervention.  The second half was an entirely different affair with Brazil on top and narrowly failing to score on several occasions. Notably, Ingri

Chris Brown, Drake Sued Over New York Nightclub Brawl

Image
Chris Brown and Drake were sued Wednesday over a bottle-throwing nightclub brawl involving their entourages, as a company with ties to the club sought to hold the music stars responsible for the melee. Brown's representatives had no immediate comment about the $16 million lawsuit, and Drake's representatives didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. The suit faulted the artists for - at a minimum - doing nothing to stop the June 14 melee and said it sullied the chic Manhattan nightspot's name. Brown and Drake should bear blame for a glass-flinging, broken-bottle-swinging free-for-all in a crowded club "in circumvention of the venue's extensive security measures," says the lawsuit, filed by Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. The company owns the trademark for Greenhouse; the owners of the club itself aren't involved in the lawsuit and declined to comment. No criminal charges have been filed in the fight, which left Brown, NBA star Tony Parker

Late Ex President Umaru Yar’Adua To Be The Face Of New N5000 Note

Image
Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will very likely release into the market on September 1, 2012, a N5,00 0 currency, under its on-going currency and payment reform scheme. The currency, according to a very reliable and close source in the apex bank, was considered because of the CBN’s cashless policy, which will be extended to other parts of Nigeria by next year. The source also disclosed that the N5000 currency is like a guarded secret by the CBN, which it plans to release as a surprise to the market. The N5,000 single note will be the fifth note to be introduced into the economy in 13 years. The first was N100 introduced in 1999, by the then Governor of CBN, Mr. Joseph Sanusi. Also, in 2000 and 2001, N200 and N500 denominations, respectively were introduced into the economy. The apex bank also in 2005 launched the N1000 denomination under the immediate past Governor of CBN, Professor Chukwuma Soludo. It is speculated that the late President Umaru Yar’Adua’s head will

Ray Parlour: Losing Van Persie is a big blow for Arsenal

Image
Arsene Wenger is selling his captain for the fourth time in seven years, and the former player believes strengthening a "massive rival" is a negative heading into the new season.   It was announced on Wednesday that the Premier League pair has reached an agreement over the fee for the striker, with the player set to travel to Manchester on Thursday to complete a medical. The transfer will see Arsenal lose their captain for the fourth time in seven years, joining the likes of Patrick Viera, Thierry Henry and Cesc Fabregas out of the door, and Ray Parlour believes the latest departure is a “big blow” for his former side. He told talkSPORT : “It’s been years since Arsenal sold a player to Manchester United. I think [the last] was Frank Stapleton [in 1981]. “They were always our massive rivals and I know we sold a lot of players to Manchester City but Manchester United were always our rivals and we didn’t want to help them. “It’s a big blow for Arsenal but I

Nigerian Olympic Star: I've Never ACTUALLY Been to Nigeria!

Aftermath of the Olympics outing by Nigerian participants in the just concluded London 2012 Olympics, its very obvious how paralized the Nigerian economy is at the moment. Nothing seems to really work, but how will they work when we fail to plan and prepare. We fail to lay claim to a single medal all through the sport festival, still yet this video surfaced spotting Al-Farouq Aminu one of the basket team player for Nigeria at the Olympics clearly stating he never had been in the country, so when and where has the team been training before the Olympics? i leave the question for you to answer. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Oh Nigeria i hail thee.
