The New Duracell Powermat 3X.

If you’re looking for a way to clean the cords off your countertop and make charging your mobile device easier, then a wireless charger is the device for you.  These convenient charge pads give you the power to simply drop your phone or other device on a mat and begin charging.  Powermat chargers do this by moving the contact points required for electricity transfer from the standard port to the back of the device with specialized cases or attachments. For some, this means adding a new battery door to a phone or attaching a plastic clip to the back of a device. Some chargers vary in the number of devices they will accept at a time, and some may be more durable than others. In this review, the  Powermat 3X, the Duracell myGrid have been rejuvenated, see the commercial in which JayZ featured in... Technology taking over the world.

Oil marketers in the country are still on strike despite the promises by the Federal Government on Thursday that verified subsidy arrears would soon be paid to them. The marketers, who spoke to our correspondent on Friday, confirmed that the government had yet to contact them for deliberations. The FG on Thursday, through the Ministry of Finance, directed the Debt Management Office to pay marketers all subsidy claims that had been verified. The Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, had said the claims would be paid as soon as the Petroleum Products Pricing and Regulatory Agency provided the supporting Sovereign Debt Notes. But she did not disclose the total amount to be paid to the marketers. The minister, in a statement by her Senior Special Assistant on Communication, Mr. Paul Nwabuiku, had said there was no need for the marketers to go on strike since the government was already addressing the subsidy payment issue. Northern Governors Oppose Single Term For President And Governors, State Police

Northern Governors are standing by the constitutional provision of two terms of four years for the President and Governors, as opposed to the idea of a single term of either five, six or seven years. The governors made the declaration after a meeting in Abuja on Thursday night.  The Chairman of the Northern Nigerian Governors Forum, who is also the Governor of Niger State, Dr. Babangida Aliyu, read the communiqué after the meeting, which dragged into the early hours of this morning. President Goodluck Jonathan and members of the Senate have been pushing for a single term for both the President and the Governors.  While Jonathan wants a single term of seven years, the Senate is recommending five years. Our correspondent gathered that the governors believed that the next President will come from their region and that it would be unhelpful for them to endorse a single term, believing that it could boomerang. The Forum also objected to the creation of State Police,

The House said in a statement that the move, which it has now confirmed to be its official resolution, was “noble, bold and patriotic” and would not be forced down by “intimidation and blackmail”. Spokesperson Muhammad Zakari also denied that the resolution was either sponsored by an opposition political party or borne out of lawmakers’ grievance over the fuel subsidy bribery scandal involving its member, Farouk Lawan, and the legislators’ inability to secure constituency project allowance. “No amount of blackmail or intimidation would cow us to abdicate our constitutional responsibility which we signed with

Why Police stalling on $620,000 bribery scandal probe

Image
The police on Monday said they would ensure a thorough investigation of the $620,000 bribery scandal involving the former chairman of the House of Representatives on Fuel Subsidy, Mr. Farouk Lawan. The Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, Mr. Frank Mba, in a telephone interview with in our correspondent in Abuja, explained why the police had not concluded the investigation a month after it began. “We do not want to conduct hurried investigation that will not help the course of justice. We will ensure a thorough investigation,” he said. He stated that the investigation would be conducted in a way that would ensure justice. Senate committee queries UNILAG on IGR.

Image
The Chairman, Senate Committee on Education, Senator Uche Chukwumerije, on Monday faulted the low internally generated revenue of the University of Lagos, saying the institution should make three times the amount it claimed it generated through IGR in 2011. The committee was at the university to carry out its mandatory oversight function on agencies and institutions under the Federal Ministry of Education. The committee, which was obviously not impressed with the N2.6bn that accrued to the institution through IGR in 2011, wondered why the major source of IGR of the university only came from students’ fees. The IGR that came from the students’ fee, he said, was N1.36bn. “My first question is on IGR. Many believe that given the tremendous entrepreneurial opportunities being offered by the megacity of Lagos, UNILAG should be doing at least three times better than it is doing presently in IGR. Why is it not doing this? Please we need your IGR profile from 2005 to 2

Barack Obama's Brother to Make Film Debut in Anti-Obama Documentary

An interview with George Obama, who lives in a hut in Kenya "like something out of 'Slumdog Millionaire'" is featured in the upcoming movie "2016: Obama's America." Barack Obama’s half-brother, George Obama , is about to make his film debut, and in a feature-length documentary that is critical of the president, no less. In the movie, 2016: Obama’s America , based on Dinesh D’Souza’s best-selling book The Roots of Obama’s Rage , D’Souza refers to a news report four years ago about George Obama living in a hut in Nairobi, Kenya, “like something out of Slumdog Millionaire .” He’s intrigued, so he tracks him down. In the film clip embedded above, D’Souza and George Obama are seen chatting on what appears to be a park bench, and D’Souza seems most curious to know why the half-brother of the most powerful man on the planet lives in poverty and without any financial help from President Obama. “I think he has a family of his own,” George Obama
